The Musee National de la Marine (National Maritime Museum, Paris France

 

Just across the Seine from the Eiffel Tower at the Place Trocadero, this is #6 on the list of top museums in Paris. Scheduled to reopen in 2021 after extensive renovations.  Don't miss it!

When my father took me there as a kid, I remember seeing the 1:100 scale builder's models of the big French battleships like the Richelieu that never did much but sail out and surrender (defect?) to the allies...
